It’s farewell to Claire at Pomphlett!
After a professional lifetime in the teaching profession, Pomphlett’s headteacher, Claire Makelis, leaves us next Thursday.
Claire has been the headteacher at Pomphlett since she stepped up from the role of deputy in 2019.
Claire has done an amazing job leading a marvellous school and we wish her all the best for a long and happy retirement.

Comic Relief fun at Shakespeare!
For comic relief and to raise money, SLT had a Shakespeare bake off in assembly and the children and staff loved it. It got a little messy but Courtney and Mel won by votes of the crowd. We also sold raffles to children for the chance to paint our faces and we had to wear it for the day.
New found respect for Mel who had the craziest face paint and actually walked to TESCO to get lunch with the face paint. We were stopped multiple times to ask if there was an event so were we able to raise awareness of comic relief out in the community!
A fun day had by all.

Fantasy Football update
Although there are still a few weeks of the football season left, it’s all getting a bit close at the top of the 58 strong LAT wide Fantasy Football league.
Loads of schools are represented in the current top 10, with 2 appearing twice!
Hyde Park and Prince Rock have 2 teams in the top 10 league shown here on the right, but there are also teams from Ford, Woodfield, Salisbury Road, Shakespeare, Hooe and LAT HQ!
But who will win the league in the end?
