Ofsted’s inspection report on Widewell is now out and it’s fantastic!

Ofsted at Widewell
A few weeks ago, Ofsted visited Widewell Primary and their report from the inspection has just been published and sent to parents at the school.
We are absolutely delighted with the report, which has 5 ‘expected’ judgements and 2 ‘strong’ judgements for ‘Behaviour and Attendance’ and ‘Inclusion’.
The detailed wording for these 2 strong judgements is shown here on the left.
A huge well done to Vicky and the team at Widewell and everyone else in the MAT who contributed to this successful inspection result.
‘Believe you can. Together we will.’

Year 6 SATS – Over for another year!
We’ve done them now and the whole process is finally over for another year.
Well done to all our year 6 pupils who have sat them and well done to all of you, who have helped to prepare for them over the last 7 or more years!
Thank you and fingers crossed all that hard work is reflected in fair scores.
Here are some of our children at Ford, Elburton, Prince Rock, Widewell, Hooe, High View, Knowle and Woodfield, celebrating the end of the tests!
Well done all!!!

Our local MP, Luke Pollard, has been visiting Mount Wise!
Last week, one of our local MPs, Luke Pollard, visited Mount Wise Primary to learn more about some of the work that the Argyle Community Trust have been doing with the ‘Joy of Movement’ at the school.
The programme is all about the benefits of healthy eating and physical exercise.
Have a look at this! https://www.facebook.com/share/r/1D2G3tosxk/?mibextid=wwXIfr

LIGHTHOUSES…. AGAIN!!!
Here’s the Ford lighthouse with some of the participants and a little info about where we can all see them.
The school’s Little Lights will be showcased at The Box for the duration of the trail (6th July until 10th September).
They will also feature as part of a ‘Farewell Event’ on the weekend of September 25th-27th at Market Hall in Devonport. The farewell weekend is when all the lighthouses (large ones, 10 roaming sculptures and the 42 schools ones) are off the trail and are on display altogether for the very last time for the public to view and collect any missing unlock codes on the app.
