The Ofsted news on Knowle is now out and as you can see from the picture above, it is really good news!!
The Knowle Ofsted inspection report was released after we published this newsletter last Friday and you can now read the whole thing by clicking here…..
Knowle were the first school in the LAT and the first in the City of Plymouth to be inspected under this new and much tougher framework. They were also one of the first in the country. We are absolutely delighted with the outcomes and incredibly proud of Ben Norris, the school’s headteacher, the whole team at Knowle and the wider LAT team supporting from behind the scenes.
Look at our first LAT ‘report card’ and then have a read of Ofsted’s views on the schools Inclusion and early years work!
Well done Ben, Knowle and team LAT!

Super World Book Day photos from across the LAT.
Here we can see some photos from Hooe, Victoria Road and Mount Wise!

……And here’s some more from Plaistow Hill and Widewell, alongside a rather dubious looking telly tubby, who was also spotted at LAT HQ!

Glocks at Hooe!
Hooe are soooo pleased to have been successful with a recent bid for musical instruments!
They now have a full class set of 34 brand new glockenspiels, which they are thoroughly enjoying learning to use.
This is an incredible boost for the music teaching at Hooe.

The Early Years team are getting out and about!
On Monday, many of the LAT Early Years team teachers went to the Stronger Practice Hub conference in Taunton to hear Jan Dubiel discuss his views around developmental early writing and reaching early learning goal.
We were very pleased to hear how in line we are at LAT with our Writing Milestones Document.
Well done to Team LAT!

Times Table Rock Stars
Are Plaistow Hill about to win it again???
We’re on day 12 of the LAT KS2 TTRS battle and it’s clear Plaistow Hill have had their Weetabix! Their lead presumably makes them untouchable now but we’ll have to see if Hooe in second place, Shakespeare in third or Mayflower in fourth can interrupt the order of standings.
It’s been incredible to see the commitment shown by our key stage two children as they have answered nearly 3 million questions correctly between them in just 11 days! There’s still a week to go until our battle ends so let’s see if we can answer around 5 million questions correctly by next Friday morning.
The battle is a fantastic way to engage our children in their times tables learning. Thanks to all of you for your ongoing support with this to help our children develop secure times tables knowledge and quick recall.
